We are looking for a dynamic Program Officer to lead the Schusterman Family Foundation’s efforts on ensuring vibrant Jewish life by empowering young Jews to embrace the joy of Judaism, build inclusive Jewish communities, support the State of Israel and repair the world. The Program Officer will assist the the National Director (ND) and Senior Program Officer (SPO) in implementing and evaluating grantmaking, programs and initiatives to advance the Foundation’s Israel and Jewish agendas in North America and around the world. This includes our Israel Programs portfolio, focused on building understanding, support and connections to Israel by advancing Israel education, engagement and advocacy, as well as its broader national Jewish agenda, which is focused on engaging young adults in vibrant, welcoming, values-driven Jewish communities. EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, EDUCATION—SAN FRANCISCO, CA
The Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation (CLSFF) believes that a good education is critical to ensuring a better future for our children, our communities, our country and our world. We aim to create high-quality educational opportunities for young people, especially those in low-income communities. For over 20 years, CLSFF has been primarily dedicated to helping the Jewish people flourish by supporting programs throughout the world that spread the joy of Jewish living, giving and learning. The Education Team is newly formed within CLSFF. Our national education strategy will initially focus on teacher preparation and supports for teachers’ continued development, success and retention, as well as the successful implementation of the Common Core State Standards.
The Executive Assistant’s (EA) responsibility will be to support CLSFF leadership with schedule management, office management, infrequent event planning, and the building and ongoing operations of key workflow systems related to grantmaking and oversight.
