Keshet is a Boston-based non-profit organization working for the full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) Jews in all parts of the Jewish community: synagogues, advocacy, service organizations, Hebrew schools, day schools, summer camps and youth movements.
Nationally, Keshet offers support, training and resources to create a Jewish community that welcomes and affirms GLBT Jews. Through its Safe Schools Initiative, Keshet works to foster GLBT-safe and -affirming school/organizational cultures for Jewish high school students in communities around the United States.
In June 2010, Keshet officially merged with Jewish Mosaic: The National Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity, which is a leader in research and resources on GLBT Jews. Operating under the name Keshet, the new organization will continue to work with Jewish organizations, communities and individuals of every denomination to create a world that is more open, accessible and welcoming to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Jews and their families. www.keshetonline.org
