South African Young Jewish Innovators Gathering

Dates: Saturday evening, February 11 -
Sunday evening, February 12, 2012
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

The Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation, in partnership with Sasfin Bank and with support from Jewish Interactive, invites you to join us for an exclusive, invitation-only gathering with leading experts, innovators, entrepreneurs and activists to explore existing and potential pathways of Jewish life, Israel-Diaspora relations and social activism across South Africa.

Harness and enhance the power of your strategic network in a room filled with inspirational speakers, professional resources and a wealth of entrepreneurial knowledge and experience. During the course of 24 hours, you will have an opportunity to immerse yourself in a community of peers who wish to connect and create, exchange and elevate ideas, and learn from and with a broader circle of Jewish activists to affect real change in local communities and around the Jewish world.

Using the knowledge and talent inside the room, we will focus our working sessions on several key questions:

  • How do existing initiatives and innovative projects within South Africa intersect and create possibilities for the Jewish non-profit community?
  • What are the unique needs of the South African Jewish innovation sector?
  • How can a strategic network of Jewish entrepreneurs, activists and supporters be better leveraged for wisdom and resources?

Space is limited. Registration has been closed. Additional questions may be directed to Jen Keys at networks@schusterman.org.

For more than 20 years, the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation (CLSFF)  has been a leading supporter of a wide range of Jewish initiatives—from well-established community organizations to a new generation of innovative start-ups—designed to enrich the lives of young Jewish adults and strengthen the Jewish future. Through initiatives such as the ROI CommunityREALITY Israel Experience and The Kivun Intensive, CLSFF has also supported the development of strategic networks of individuals who are creating new avenues of Jewish experiences and engaging in Jewish life in a more interconnected way. As we deepen our investment in the Jewish journeys of young adults, CLSFF is committed to exploring and supporting the use of networks to help achieve a vision of empowering as many young Jewish adults as possible to connect with one another and work together to build vibrant Jewish communities.
