Child Abuse Network
The Child Abuse Network (CAN) was incorporated in 1988 as a 501(c)(3) organization and became Tulsa County's nationally accredited Children's Advocacy Center in 1991. CAN focuses on child abuse intervention and is the only community nonprofit that partners directly with law enforcement, child welfare and legal and medical professionals in Tulsa County's child abuse response system. CAN's role is twofold: (1) providing child abuse intervention services; and (2) owning and managing the facility which centralizes child abuse intervention services and co-locates team agencies for more effective and efficient determination of abuse. Services provided include forensic interviews, medical evaluations and mental health consultations. CAN's mission is to provide collaborative intervention services to child abuse victims, so that they are encouraged to embrace a future driven by hope.
