Honeymoon Israel (HMI) provides immersive trips to Israel for locally based cohorts of couples that have at least one Jewish partner and are early in their committed relationship, creating communities of couples who are building families with meaningful connections to Jewish life and the Jewish people. To date, and since inception in May 2015, HMI has run 63 trips for 1,300 couples from 14 cities across North America. In the next year, HMI will run an additional 33 cohorts and continued growth is expected.

The Director of Finance and Operations is a full-time position that will be based in Atlanta, GA and will report directly to one of the Co-CEO’s of Honeymoon Israel. This is a new position and considered a senior level position within the organization. Honeymoon Israel’s organizational budget continues to grow and is currently ~$9 million.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage operational budgets of HMI in partnership with Co-CEO’s
  • Work closely with outside bookkeeper and accountant to prepare all necessary materials for annual audit
  • Prepare monthly national financial reports as well as individual local city reports
  • Manage all HR functions including 403B plan, Bi-Weekly payroll, Health Insurance plan, other benefit plans. Ensure Payroll company prepares and submits appropriate reports and filings
  • Work with insurance provider to make sure HMI has proper levels of coverage and all policies are up to date. Manage claims process when needed
  • Manage payables and income for agency. Work with banks to insure proper money management.
  • Oversee all operational processes and procedures of the organization; including the management of the Operations Manager position
  • Prepare filings for every state HMI operates in for proper governmental documentation
  • Oversee grants reporting to insure timely and accurate reports are provided to funders of HMI
  • Supervise all HMI technology platforms    

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 year degree in related field
  • 5-7 years of financial management experience
  • Understanding of HR issues
  • Has strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, RUNADP, Salesforce, Stripe, and other online software platforms.
  • Can work well in a virtual office environment
  • Highly organized
  • Strong skills in Excel, Google Sheets, Word
