Family Safety Center
The Family Safety Center (FSC) was established in 2006 with a mission to provide protection, hope and healing to the survivors of family and intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking and elder abuse. Today FSC is the backbone organization for a collaborative partnership of 13 onsite and as many as 23 offsite agencies serving more than 5600 adult survivors, 2000 children and 1500 accompanying support persons annually. Survivors and their children may file for emergency protective orders, receive danger assessments and safety planning and get help in divorce, protective order, paternity, custody and guardianship cases. FSC also provides assessment and counseling services for children, forensic documentation of injuries and general health assessments. Their partnership with the Court engages their practicing professionals in review and system analysis to encourage and ensure best practices and policies are being used by the Courts and the various agencies engaged in the system serving families in crisis to promote access, fairness and keeping the welfare of children and families first.
