Statement of Purpose
In order for the Jewish community to grow and thrive, the next generation of philanthropic leaders must be treated as full partners in shaping a vibrant Jewish future. Currently, many Jewish millennials with philanthropic capacity are not finding a meaningful place in Jewish life. Slingshot strives to support diverse expressions of Jewish life by offering young philanthropists new opportunities to grow as leaders.

About Slingshot
Founded in 2005 as a project of the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies, Slingshot has spent the past 13 years leveraging Jewish innovation in the community, focusing on the role of philanthropy in supporting that innovation. In 2018, the organization undertook a strategic planning process and emerged with a refined mission. Slingshot is now focused on mobilizing young Jewish philanthropists as funders and active change agents, who, with their partners, shape the Jewish community to be vibrant and continuously evolving.

Among the ways we will achieve the desired outcomes, Slingshot seeks to create a Philanthropic Fellowship. Our vision includes a unique, cutting edge philanthropic education experience with a focus on cohort building and grant making.
