We hope you had a great summer and are gearing up for the high holidays at the end of this week. Oh, did they sneak up on you too? Not sure what your plans are for Erev Rosh Hashana?
We've got you covered!
On the first night of Rosh Hashanah, hundreds of Philadelphians will celebrate renewal of life and community in the open air of Rittenhouse Square. Free and open to all, Philly ROI is co-sponsoring BZBI’s Rosh Hashanah in Rittenhouse Square: RH2 is a festival of Jewish song and prayer in the heart of Center City.
For the fifth year, as the eve of the New Year descends, the park will fill with revelers sharing holiday meals on picnic blankets, children and adults dancing to the rousing live music of the Marom Band, led by BZBI’s Rabbi Yosef Goldman. There is nothing like RH2 in Philadelphia. It sets a distinct tone of excitement, warmth and joy for the High Holy Days and the New Year.
We thought this would be a wonderful event to support. We have had two ROIers participate in the past - Ami and Jared Jackson have both played in the band. It's a beautiful celebration that brings young and old together through tradition and music and we hope you can join us!
