Shapiro Family Fellowship
There's the Israel you see in the headlines -- and there's the Israel you can only see with your own eyes. We can take you there.
As part of the twelfth class of fellows, you'll join a highly selective group of future Jewish leaders for:
- Yearlong learning through a thoughtful lens on Israel, New York's Jewish community, and UJA.
- A 12-day trip to Israel, where you'll explore social, economic, and political perspectives. You'll also make meaningful connections while learning from Israeli professionals and peers.
- Introspective Narrative Writing and Group Projects to reflect on your experience and present opportunities for positive change in New York and Israel.
Application Deadline: Friday, December 7, 2018
Questions? Contact Shai Kartus at [email protected] or 212.836.1514.
Fellows must be between the ages of 22 and 30, live in the greater New York metropolitan area, and have traveled to Israel at least once prior to applying to this Fellowship. Being a Fellow
Upon acceptance to this program, Shapiro Family Fellows become part of our Emerging Leaders & Philanthropists community and future leadership. Thus, as a participant in this program, we encourage an ELP Community gift of $365 to UJA-Federation of New York's annual campaign to ensure the longevity of the work we make possible together in New York, Israel, and around the world.
Emerging Leaders & Philanthropists brings together thousands of New Yorkers in their 20s and 30s who want to change lives. During the year, ELP offers hundreds of ways to get involved, including leadership opportunities, volunteer projects, career-specific programs, overseas trips, and content-rich experiences.
