I'm interested in REALITY. What journeys are you offering this year?
Browse our current selection of REALITY journeys in Israel. If you are interested in a journey not currently open for applications, you can fill out our interest form and you will be notified when you are able to apply.
I have friends I want to recommend for REALITY. What should I do?
If you are a REALITY alumnus, you should have received an email with your referral code. However, not all our journeys are using a referral code system. If you are an alumnus and have not received an email with your code, please email [email protected].
I can't find the answer to my question(s). Who can I contact?
If you have questions about our journeys application process or any other general inquiries and you cannot find the answer in our FAQ section, please send an email to [email protected].
Who is eligible?
Eligibility varies from journey to journey. Please visit a specific journey’s “Apply” tab for eligibility requirements.
How do I apply for a REALITY journey that requires a code?
If you have a referral code from a REALITY alumnus, a friend of REALITY or a REALITY staff member, please visit the “Apply” tab of the journey you are interested in and follow the application link to enter your code to access the application. If you do not have a code, please visit the “Apply” tab of the journey you are interested in and request a code.
I'm an alumni and I forgot my referral code. How can I access it?
If you are a REALITY alumni and you did not receive a code or cannot find the email with your code, you can access your code here.
I have a referral code; does that mean I’m automatically accepted?
A referral code does not mean you are automatically accepted. A referral code gives you access to the application and your acceptance to a REALITY journey is based on the strength of your application.
Can I apply for more than one REALITY experience?
You can apply for more than one REALITY experience. However, keep in mind that these journeys are not based on interests, but on what you do. If you are an influencer or a leader in more than one field reach out to [email protected] to consult on which journey would be the best fit for you.
If I do not get accepted, can I apply again next year?
If you are not accepted to a specific journey, you can apply again next year.
I’ve been waitlisted. What should I do?
While we understand that it is difficult to make arrangements for a potential last-minute acceptance, we do accept participants on the waitlist if spots become available.
I’m interested in a journey that has already passed. How can I express my interest for next year?
If applications have closed for the journey that you are interested in, please fill out the interest form.
I’ve applied for a REALITY journey. How soon can I expect a response?
While we aim to review and decide on applications quickly, the process may take longer than expected. Once a decision is made, all applicants will be notified via email.
I’ve been accepted to a REALITY journey! What's next?
As soon as you receive acceptance to a REALITY journey, you must fill in the registration form and pay the registration fee before the specified deadline. Once you’ve completed the registration process you will receive an email with additional information including travel, itinerary, packing and more.
How do I pay the registration fee?
The registration form contains a link to an external form where you will be asked to complete the payment going to our travel partner. Please pay the registration fee before the deadline indicated on the form.
I am having trouble paying the registration fee. What should I do?

If I have to drop-out, can I be refunded?
Once you confirm your participation, we begin incurring significant costs on your behalf. You will forfeit the registration fee if you withdraw your participation.
Is there a way I can connect with other participants before the journey starts?
You will receive an email with an invitation to join the private REALITY journey-specific Facebook group where you are encouraged to connect with other members of your cohort.
Flights and Insurance
How does the flight process work?
REALITY works with a fantastic travel agency that books all participant flights on our pre-booked group flights. Once you’ve registered, you will receive an email asking you to fill in a travel form.
I want to extend my time in Israel (before/after) REALITY. What should I do?
Once you register, you will receive a travel form that allows you to make a request to extend your stay in Israel. Please note that changes are first come, first served and we have a limited number of changes that can be made. If you want to deviate from the group flight, we strongly recommend completing the form as quickly as possible.
I need to return to a different destination from where I departed for REALITY. How can I make those arrangements?
If you are traveling during the time of REALITY or you need to return to a different destination for any reason, you need to communicate these plans to our travel agent. Once you receive your travel form you will be asked for your travel plans and our travel agent will work with you to find the best flights.
I want to make a last-minute change to my flight. Is it possible?
We strongly encourage participants to finalize flight arrangements with our travel agent as soon as possible as changes are first come, first served and we have a limited number of changes that can be made. If you have not finalized your travel changes by deadline, you may be responsible for an increase in fare which can be quite costly the longer you wait.
Do I need a visa to travel to Israel?
US citizens do not need a visa. If you are traveling from outside the US, please check visa requirements at your local Israel consulate as soon as you have been accepted on a REALITY journey to ensure you are able to obtain any documents necessary to travel to Israel.
My passport expires in less than 6 months from the start of the experience. Do I need to renew?
You must renew your passport if it expires less than 6 months from the start of the experience, even if it’s by a single day.
Does REALITY cover travel health insurance?
All participants receive basic health insurance, but it is highly recommended that you purchase comprehensive travel-health insurance.
Do I need any vaccinations to travel to Israel?
You do not require any vaccinations to travel to Israel.
