Sarah Persitz recently left her job of 6 1/2 years and is on a mission to find her next professional passion!

The opportunity to reconnect with the ROI Community always provides special food for thought that certainly feeds the soul. Participating in the Facilitation Intensive was no different. Over the course of the 5 day program I was challenged, inspired and certainly pushed outside of my comfort zone as I explored the art of facilitation, and even more so, the thoughts ruminating in my soul.

I recently left my job of 6 1/2 years in search of the next journey. Unsure of what lies ahead I wanted to advance my skills in the field of facilitation while taking some time to consider what may speak to me both personally and professionally. Not knowing what to expect with this particular experience, I went in fully open to what was yet to be discovered, and as always, I was pleasantly surprised by the caliber of the people and the depth of the program itself.

The program provided a framework for learning and self discovery. I was intrigued by the content and theory itself and moved by the thoughtful discussions that followed with other participants late into the night. We shared our projects, our passions and our dreams and engaged in ways that expanded my thinking about what's possible in my work as a volunteer, and perhaps more importantly, about what I want professionally for the future.

I left Facilitation Intensive inspired and committed to taking steps in my career that will ultimately lead me to where I want to be. I realized that the next step doesn't have to be the end all be all, but can serve as a welcome next step in the journey. As always, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity and for the support of the ROI Community as I continue to grow personally and professionally.
