Teach For America is a diverse network of leaders who advance the movement for educational equity and excellence. As a collective force, comprised of educators, advocates, entrepreneurs, policymakers and community members, they work with students and communities to realize the day when every child has an equal opportunity to learn and succeed.
Teach For America finds, develops and supports a diverse network of leaders. They recruit candidates who have demonstrated evidence of the values and leadership necessary to expand opportunity for children. Then, they develop their leadership through two years of classroom teaching in a low-income community. After their corps commitment, TFA continues to support their members' individual and collective leadership, relationships and growth through their lifetime.
Today, Teach For America is one of the largest leadership forces in public education. After 27 years in this movement, their network extends across 53 regions and includes more than 55,000 corps members and alumni.
