Aaron Henne

Artistic Director, theatre dybbuk
Aaron is Artistic Director of theatre dybbuk, a company whose work focuses on Jewish folklore, rituals, and history. He is also a multiple award-winning playwright (LA Weekly and SF Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards) and long-time educator and creative facilitator. He serves as a mentor at Otis College of Art and Design and has taught storytelling workshops at Dreamworks, Lucasfilm, and Pixar. Aaron is a lecturer at the American Jewish University and a member of that institution's Dream Lab, which focuses on innovative approaches to Jewish arts education. He has taught leadership and collaborative techniques for Moishe House, BCI, and Hillel at UCLA. He is also Artistic Director of the Silverlake Independent JCC's Collaborative Arts Project, Culture Lab, and a board member of the Association for Jewish Theatre. Aaron's book on the writing process, You Already Know, was published by Writ Large Press. He is a 2014 PresenTenseLA fellow.
