Adam Moscoe

Policy Analyst, Finance Canada

Adam was born and raised in Ottawa, a community that nurtured in him the values of volunteerism and inclusion. After solidifying his Jewish literacy and identity at Hillel Academy he then attended public high school, where he grew academically and socially, and where he also performed musical theatre and volunteered with disadvantaged youth. After high school Adam made his first trip to Israel, and the experience inspired him to become a leader in the Canadian Federation of Jewish Students and to chair Holocaust Education Month at the University of Ottawa. Adam was valedictorian of both his high school and undergraduate university classes, and was named one of Canada’s Top 20 Under 20. He then went on to work at the Parliament of Canada and at Canada’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, where he gained experience in international human rights and humanitarian action,  following which he was a policy advisor to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change. Having recently completed the Canadian government’s Advanced Policy Analyst Program, Adam draws upon the values of tzedek and responsibility to strengthen Canada’s role in advancing social inclusion and sustainable development. He brings innovative, tri-sector perspectives to his work in government by collaborating with the private and social/non-profit sectors via the Global Shapers (Ottawa Hub). He also serves as Vice President of the Tamir Foundation, which empowers individuals with developmental disabilities in a Jewish environment.
