Adam Schönberger

CEO, Marom Klub Egyesület
Adam, aged 30, is a founding member and current leader of MAROM Budapest, an NGO he has been involved with for the past 12 years. He studied literature and communication and grew up in the Neologue movement (the Hungarian version of Conservative/Masorti Judaism), the son of a Neologue rabbi. Adam founded Aurora – an alternative Community Hub, where he designs and directs Jewish programming. In addition to Auróra, Adam is the owner of the Bánkitó summer festival and the creator and coordinator of the Quarter7Quarter8 Festival that takes place over the eight days of Chanukah. Adam is a founding member and active participant in the young Dor Chadash Egalitarian community in Budapest. He has been involved in alternative theater production for 15 years, and also has a Jewish music band, called “Hagesher” (The Bridge), which plays re-vitalized versions of Jewish folk, pop, and religious melodies. Adam is an inspirational young leader whose enthusiasm is a source of motivation and interest for all in the Jewish community.
