Alan Dosoretz
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, most of Alan’s family was born in Moises Ville, the oldest Jewish town in Argentina. This sense of commitment to Jewish life in the Diaspora, together with his long-held belief in the importance of creating social impact, is what has fueled Alan’s choices in life. After earning a B.A. in political science and a postgraduate specialization in multi-track diplomacy and conflict transformation (University of Maryland), he has focused on building bridges between government, third sector, and the private sector. Alan believes that by bringing these various sectors to work together, the potential to effect real change is that much greater and more profound. In addition to working for the Argentian government and Chamber of Commerce, Alan is now the executive director of Argentina Ciudadana, a nonprofit founded by Rab. Sergio Bergman and dedicated to encouraging citizens to become more involved in civic life. For the last seven years, Alan has focused specifically on empowering young leaders, developing an innovative strategy that integrates civic initiatives with relevant projects from the Jewish community. Interfaith dialogue, social entrepreneurship, and strategic alliances with government ministries are the cornerstone of this new approach towards social change. In October 2018 Alan moved to Haifa to study a Master Program in Peace and Conflict Management. Since then he has been working in a variety of projects related to coexistence within Israel and its connections with the diaspora in Latin America.
