Amy Lipner

Content design manager, Collective Health
Amy lives on a floating home in the San Francisco Bay. A strategic writer, she works with purpose-driven companies to bring clarity and precision to their communication. Amy's interest in writing and social justice brought her from Chicago, where she grew up, to Boston where she eventually practiced law at the U.S. Attorney's Office. Amy learned that litigation wasn't the way to become the catalyst for the change she wanted to be. Instead, she used those skills of persuasion to amplify the voices of social impact organizations. Amy posits that this kind of communication, conversion copywriting and storytelling, are keys to unlocking global change. As Robert Mckee, renowned screenwriting lecturer concludes, “Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today.” As a business owner, Amy helps social enterprises extend their reach. She does this by translating data and analytics into stories that make customers and stakeholders not just care, but take action. In doing so, Amy moves beyond “wordsmithing” to bring measured results to the traditionally qualitative world of writing. Results that not only get more people to say “yes, I’m onboard!” but also demonstrate clear figures like a 46% increase in sales. A blend of left and right brain thinking, Amy’s work is a megaphone for transformational messages.
