Andras Ligeti
András (he/him) has been working at the World Jewish Congress since 2019 as Deputy Director of Community Affairs. His main responsibilities include working with Jewish communities in Europe, advising on political and communal issues, and coordinating projects across the EU. Prior to joining to WJC he was the Executive Director of the European Union of Jewish Students and the Program Manager for Jewish Life and Antisemitism at the Budapest based Tom Lantos Institute. András was the chairperson of the Youth Council of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Hungary (Mazsihisz), the coordinator of the Forum Against Antisemitism and a member of the U.S. Embassy Youth Council in Budapest. András has graduated at the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy at IDC Herzliya in Israel. Besides his experience in the public sector, András also worked at the corporate sector for four years in the field of logistics and project management.
