Andrea Ausztrics is from Budapest, Hungary, and has lived most of her life there although she loves to travel and has worked abroad a lot. Besides her art projects she is pursuing a doctorate that focuses on the history and exhibiting methodology of modern Jewish Museums. Andrea is also a freelance filmmaker, creative producer and video artist. Her daily job involves different stages of film and art production such as short films, documentaries, animations, and all kinds of variations on these themes, also she curates exhibitions and directs her own video and film projects. Andrea gained two Masters in Philosophy of Art & Film and Cultural Anthropology in Budapest and completed a PhD program in Social History. She participated in the Fulbright visiting scholar program at the New York University in 2015-2016.
She is part of a variety of Jewish initiatives across the globe, including ROI Community, Paideia Alumni, the Muslim Jewish Conference, Marom Budapest, Dor Hadas, European Masorti Movement, and the MiNYanim Group.
