Andrea Ausztrics
Andrea is a freelance creative producer and curator with a background in Culture Anthropology and Film Studies, and she also holds a PhD in Social History. She has a 15+ years experince in filmmaking, her main focus are documentary films and animations with a special interest in cultural heritage, female perspetives and minorities.
She researched and lectured about Jewish Museums and Jewish art & culture projects thanks to her PhD program which also led her to receive a Fulbright scholarship at New York University in 2015/16. In this period she co-curated a mixed-media exhibition about the Jewish Quarter in Budapest which was debuted in New York and later travelled to Montreal, Jerusalem, Stockholm and Budapest. Through her own art practice she engages with religion and identity issues. She establised aula in 2018, a collaboration based collection of art project that produces prints, zines, video works and exhibitions. Check out and follow: aula.co insta
Since 2020 August she is the artistic director of ZSK2028 (Jewish Culture 2028), Marom Budapest's arts and culture project with a network of local Jewish artist. About ZSK
She is part of a variety of Jewish initiatives across the globe, including ROI Community, Paideia Alumni, the Jerusalem Biennale, the Muslim Jewish Conference, European Masorti Movement, and the MiNYanim Group.
