Anna is the Head of Business Development at Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, Venture Capital & Growth Equity. A native of San Diego, Anna joined Start-Up Nation Central after spending over five years working on democratic governance and women's rights programs in East Africa. Anna was a Fulbright Scholar in Uganda researching the effectiveness of quotas for women in the national parliament. Anna went on to work on parliamentary and presidential campaigns in both Kenya and Uganda. She has consulted with Deloitte, the United Nations and many international NGOs. In addition, Anna established Girls Kick It in 2006, a non-profit in Uganda that has empowered over 600 young women through sports, life skills and micro-enterprise training. Under her leadership, Girls Kick It was awarded the 2012 Sport for Social Inclusion Award by Barclays Bank and Tony Blair. Currently, Anna is the Manager for Strategic Partnerships at Start-Up Nation Central where she oversees incoming delegations of multinational companies and foreign government officials interested in Israeli innovation.
