Anny is from Israel and she devotes her time to her three passions: science, culture, and community outreach. As a young adult and secular Jew searching for her identity, Anny came to realize that there was no secular Jewish leadership capable of meeting the cultural needs of secular Jews looking to be more fully engaged with their Jewish experience. She thus began her journey to become a certified secular rabbi, believing that each generation must take an active part in creating its culture in a manner that corresponds with tradition. As a rabbi, Anny plays a role in creating value for secular Jews, both in their everyday lives and in their sacred moments. She conducts lifecycle ceremonies (i.e. secular Jewish weddings), delivers lectures, and conducts workshops on topics such as Jewish holidays, social justice, and human rights. Anny is a board member of Merchav: Israeli Secular Rabbis Association. In addition, Anny has a BSc in life sciences and art history from Tel Aviv University and is working towards an MSc in plant sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Anny is a director at Deloitte Israel, and the head of R&D and Innovation Incentives. She has extensive experience creating R&D business plans for startups as well as established companies in all areas of technology, and in securing government R&D grants.
