Arlene Freedberg, originally from South Africa and lives in New York City where she works for Hadassah. Prior to that, Arlene worked for Teach For America, whose mission is equal educational opportunities for all children. Arlene has always been connected to Judaism and the Jewish community. While attending the University of Maryland, she worked at the Rosenbloom Hillel Center and participated in many fundraising activities and educational programs over the years. In New York, Arlene serves as Co-chair of the JC Connections committee at her synagogue and is responsible for organizing events that enable Jews to meet other Jews. Arlene is also a member of the Young Leadership Committee for the Orthodox Union.
