Avishag Bohbot
Avishag is an Israeli venture capitalist, entrepreneur, and an avid surfer who is passionate and knowledgeable about investing in early-stage companies. She holds an M.Sc. from Columbia University, where she graduated with honors (Magna Cum Laude). After serving in the 869 intelligence unit of the Israeli Defense Forces, she is now on reserve as a rescuer for the IDF Search & Rescue Unit.
Avishag has more than a decade of experience in tech-venture financing, private equity and business development. Having worked at the Arison Group in Tel Aviv, Audax in Boston, as well as being a partner at the Founders Group in Tel Aviv, where she managed a portfolio worth $2.8 billion, she was named by The Marker 2016 as one of the “40 most successful promising business leaders.” Avishag is also the co-owner of ABY real estate development company, which she founded in 2009.
Avishag serves as a mentor, advisor, and board member in tech businesses, such as Techstars and IBI ($100M investment fund), as well as social-impact organizations, namely Hagal Sheli and Com.unity.
Avishag believes in the convergence of technology and business to empower every individual to maximize their human potential. In 2018, she initiated an international conference with world-class thinkers, called MHP (Maximizing Human Potential). It showcased Frontier Technologies to raise awareness about diversity in AI and inspire conversations among leading Israeli high-tech executives, VC founders and social activists.
