Aviva Steinberger

Director, Innovation Diplomacy, Start-Up Nation Central

Aviva Steinberger is the Director of Innovation Diplomacy at Start-Up Nation Central. She is the former Director of Global Planning at JDC. She has been dedicated to furthering the organization's 104 year-old mission to help the world's neediest Jews and build Jewish life and leaders. Aviva explored JDC's role with a holistic, cross-organizational lens to identify key priorities and goals and inform strategies and critical decision-making. Aviva brings to her work a commitment to global Jewish responsibility and dedication to building a socially just Israel. Before moving to Israel and joining JDC, Aviva was New York State's (ESDC) Director of Business Recovery & Industry Development, responsible for the allocation of $800M in grant programming for business owners struggling with the impacts of the 9/11 World Trade Center attack. Aviva earned a double B.A. in International Relations and Jewish History from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She lives in Modiin, Israel with her husband and four children, who fuel her passions for volunteering in her community and physical training.
