Barbara Zeifer

Co- founder and CSO, Digital Public Affairs

Barbara is a 29-years-old Argentine political scientist born and raised in the city of Buenos Aires. She has always been passionate about justice, equality and freedom, and forever trusts in education, communication and young leadership to bring about social change. Her restless and creative spirit, and her impulse to improve the society she lives in, have brought her to dedicate her life and her career to enhance diversity and pluralism in her society in several forms. As a Political and Discourse Consultant, her current main job position, she coaches and trains politicians to improve their communication skills and build a public image that better connects them to their constituency´s  needs and concerns. As a social entrepreneur, she has co-founded Diversity Network, the unique interfaith youth community in Buenos Aires which uses Conflict Resolution techniques to enhance understanding among young Jews, Muslims and Christians in Buenos Aires. As well, Barbara has produced several Ted-Style events, such as the local edition of Tel Aviv´s “People Who Usually Don't Lecture”, in which she casts and trains ordinary people to become great speakers and tell their unique stories on stage, raising empathy among neighbours and citizens. As a Researcher and Professor at the Buenos Aires University she has studied feminist social movements and social networks and is currently finishing her thesis on “The hashtag´s political effects”. As a young leader in her Jewish Community she has dedicated her time to develop and run innovative educational projects to enhance diversity, equality and pluralism, as well as to better understand the complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. She has worked with teenagers, young adults, and adults, in long-lasting comprehensive projects, workshops, retreats and classes. As a student, she has obtained her Political Science degree and finished her MA program on Discourse Analysis. She has also studied Conflict Resolution in Bar Ilan University (Israel) and Middle East Peace Negotiations in Georgetown University (USA).
