Baruch Rock holds a B.A. in history and journalism from New York University, a Master of Arts in desert studies from Ben Gurion University of the Negev and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in sustainability education from Prescott College in Arizona. Baruch was ordained by Rabbi Shlomo Riskin and Rabbi Shuki Reich in 2011. Since then, as a rabbi Baruch has been teaching Jewish Studies and 20th Century American History at Gesher Jewish Day School, a pluralistic community dayschool in Fairfax, Virginia. In addition to facilitating learning experiences and other programs in the Northern Virginia Jewish Community, Baruch teaches Holocaust and midrash at a local synagogue, a parsha class at the JCC and is a 2014 ConnectGens Fellow.
