Beryl is a creative innovator, dedicated to helping people realize their inherent talents and empowering them to exceed their wildest dreams. Beryl is a nature enthusiast, weekend chef, and chiseler of profound carpentry. He grew up steeped in Chabad philosophy, making a vocation of applying its timeless approach to contemporary demographics. His career began when, at age 23, he founded a mentoring organization for the children of Chabad’s emissaries sprinkled around the world. Then, noticing the void in teen programming among Chabad centers (let’s face it, post-Bar/Bat Mitzvah isn’t the most Jewishly active demographic) Beryl launched the acclaimed CTeen revolution, infusing teenagers with pride and purpose. Today, CTeen is a vibrant movement led by tens-of-thousands of teenagers in over 300 locations around the world. In 2008, together with his wife Chevi, Beryl moved to Yardley, Pennsylvania to build Jewish community and gain on-the-ground experience. There, Beryl recognized another need in the Chabad network: an organized Jewish children’s club. With the success of CTeen, Beryl rethought the approach to kids’ programming and established CKids, an international kids club, Hebrew School network, and resource library for community leaders. In 2013, Beryl addressed yet another hungry demographic—his own (millennials)—by developing CYP International. Chabad for Young Professionals builds locally-based communities of young professionals by empowering them to connect with each other and their heritage through business networking, Jewish experiences, and social events. CYP has 85 centers, humbly boasting 87,000 members around the world.
