Dana Childress

Vice President, Leading Places to Work, Leading Edge

Dana Childress (she/her) is the Vice President of Leading Places to Work at Leading Edge. In her role, she develops programming to help organizations center their people and create healthy, joyful, and impactful workplaces across the Jewish non-profit sector. Prior to this role, she spent 15 years at Teach For America, leading the staff talent function, focusing on diversifying staff and culturally competent hiring practices. She began her career as a high school teacher in St. Louis. Dana graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science. A native North Carolinian, she now calls Washington, D.C. home, where she lives with her husband and two young sons. When not chasing her children, she enjoys reading, cooking, exploring D.C. (especially Rock Creek Park and local coffee shops), and supporting her sons' schools and the KIPP DC charter community.
