David Goodman is the Executive Director of Schulich Leader Scholarships (מלגת מנהיגי שוליך) and a VP at The Schulich Foundation, based out of Toronto, Canada.
Since 2011, his major focus has been towards the development of a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) scholarship program in Canada and Israel through a C$100mm endowment fund supporting 100 Schulich Leader Scholarships annually. The program leverages a network of partner universities (20 Canadian and 5 Israeli) and is co-administered through a strategic partnership with UJA Federation of Greater Toronto.
To date, the fund has distributed over C$28mm to 500+ Schulich Leaders pursuing complex Bachelor's degrees across all STEM disciplines. The development of the Schulich Leader Network aims to strengthen the economy in both countries through the innovation of these remarkable STEM scholars.
In addition to Schulich Leader Scholarships, David has been privileged to work on a team contributing to the growth and development of the Canadian and Israeli education sector in his role as Vice President at The Schulich Foundation.
Prior to The Schulich Foundation, David forged his career path in the non-profit sector after an eye-opening experience on Taglit-Birthright Israel in 2006. David went on to spearhead several grassroots fundraising initiatives benefitting Jewish organizations in Canada and Israel. In 2007, David received the Schusterman Family Foundation's "Charlie Award" for his extensive volunteer leadership after creating "Hoops 4 Israel" in Toronto.
David is married to the love of his life, Jessica, and is blessed with twin boys, Charlie and Jack.
