David is the Chief Program Officer, Roots and Culture of the JCCSF. David has over 15 years leadership experience in educational and cultural organizations. He leads an interdisciplinary team in the creation of experiences that improve people's opportunity to learn, connect and make meaning together. His two focus areas are the moments that transform learning into action, and creating the right environment for deep connection among people. Most recently, David was the Executive Director of Kevah, an innovative Jewish education company offering customized learning for adults. David started his career teaching in the Los Angeles Unified School District and running a Jewish summer camp in Pasadena. He studied in Israel for a year at the Pardes Institute. He has a degree in Classics from Occidental College.
