Deborah Fishman
Deborah Fishman works in communications and community-building. She is the Director of Communications for The AVI CHAI Foundation. An entrepreneur and chef, Deborah is also the founder of FED, and she was a fellow with the Union for Reform Judaism’s JewVNation Fellowship with this initiative. She is a member of the ROI Community and currently serves as the grassroots ROI Igniter for New York City. Previously, she was Network Animator for the PresenTense Group and Editor & Publisher of PresenTense Magazine. Deborah has a M.A. in Jewish Professional Studies from the Spertus Institute, was a Fellow in Israel Education at the iCenter, and was named one of the “36 under 36” Jews making an impact in the NYC Jewish community by the Jewish Week. Deborah graduated from Princeton University in 2006 with a major in Slavic Languages and Literatures and certificate in Judaic studies. During her years at Princeton, she was News Editor for the Daily Princetonian, Princeton’s daily newspaper, as well as President of PIPAC, Princeton’s pro-Israel group.
