Dev Noily serves as senior rabbi for Kehilla Community Synagogue, in the Ohlone territory of Huchiun / Oakland-Piedmont, California. Living at the intersections of Jewishness and queerness, Dev is inspired to build robust, loving community that celebrates life, honors ancestors and seeks their wisdom, and carries us in ever-widening circles toward personal and collective liberation and connection. Dev is the co-founder of Jews on Ohlone Land, working in solidarity with the Indigenous women-led Sogorea Te Land Trust. They are also a teacher and co-founder of 700 Benches: Queer Talmud for Everyone (a SVARA-inspired beit midrash). Dev comes from an Ashkenazi Jewish family with roots in Eastern Europe and Israel/Palestine. They are a graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College.
