Emma is an MBA candidate at the University of Washington’s Foster School. She’s pursuing her MBA because she believes business has the power to create positive change in the world through sustainable, marketbased solutions. Emma’s background is in non-profit management and development. She was the Director of Development Strategy & Operations for BBYO in Washington DC, and prior to that lived in Northern Thailand, where she worked with a Burmese women’s rights organization, supporting their fundraising efforts as well. Emma holds a B.A. in Anthropology from George Washington University and lives in Seattle with her partner. She’s a recovering marathoner, loves to cook, host BBQ’s/brunch/ dinner parties, and travel.
