Esther Kustanowitz
Esther D. Kustanowitz is a writer, editor and consultant with two decades of experience in the Jewish nonprofit, journalism and innovation scene. She contributes regularly to the Los Angeles Jewish Journal and is a columnist at J.: The Jewish Weekly of Northern California. Esther was founding editor of the lifestyle website GrokNation.com, has written for Modern Loss, Haaretz, JTA, The Jewish Week, The Forward and eJewishPhilanthropy, and has worked with dozens of Jewish organizations to create compelling content and effective social media strategies. She is endlessly fascinated with the ongoing evolution of the media picture, as how we receive, consume and share content changes. Esther is working on a book project about life after loss, and is a casual scholar of #TVgoneJewy, a term she coined to describe the increasingly common event of Jewish references and storylines entering otherwise non-Jewishly-themed TV shows.
