Itai was born and raised in Holon. Coming from a low-income background, Itai worked to support his family while still a teen. This did not, however, prevent him from joining the army and winning a coveted position as a journalist for Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio), which he then developed into a career in the Israeli media industry. Itai is passionate about social issues and even while building his professional career has always set aside time to volunteer and promote political and social causes. Politics has also always been an interest of his, starting in high school, where he was elected head of the student council and then of the city student council. Several years ago he became involved in Holon’s Tze’irim (young adults) party, leading the party’s successful election campaign and being elected to the city council, where he represented the party for a five year term that he only recently completed. Itai currently works as a journalist and a radio host in Galei Tzahal, as well as an editor for various TV talk shows. He invests a lot of time and effort raising awareness about social issues, which he often airs on his daily show, The Bottom Line. Itai’s professional and personal values were shaped by his family background and his support of his mother, who was diagnosed with MS when he was three years old. Itai holds a B.A. in political science from Tel Aviv University, and an M.B.A. from Bar Ilan University.
