Itamar was born and raised in the Galilee in northern Israel. When he was six he embarked on his musical path, inspired by the rich and colorful diversity of the unique and varied musical traditions in Israel. He became an artist who finds harmony by becoming the bridge itself, connecting things that do not seem to connect. As a person and an artist he has always seen the need to broaden his perspective beyond individual existence to encompass the wholeness to which it belongs. At 15, Itamar began touring the world, creating bridges and collaborations with a variety of artists, Jewish and Arab, Palestinian and Sephardi, working with all types of musicians, from traditional ensembles to huge philharmonic orchestras. At 17 he joined the internationally successful Idan Raichal Project, with its focus on Ethiopian-Israeli music. At 21 Itamar turned to the world Jazz scene, touring with Avishai Cohen, while also co-founding the band Yemen Blues. Itamar has been on tour with musicians from all nations and ages, including the Ladino singer Yasmin Levy, Ester Ofarim, Buika, Yoni Rechter, Eviatar Banai, Berry Sakharof, Omar Faruk Takbilek, Johnny Greenwood, and many others as a musician, percussionist, producer, and more.
