Jaime is a cultural Jew of Syrian and Moroccan origin, born and raised in a Mexican Jewish Orthodox community especially influenced by Arab traditions. His Latino, Jewish and Arab identities inspire him greatly to better understand his heritage and what he wants to create with it. His education was led by disruptive women within a homogeneusly structured community, for which he is a true believer in institutions and his duty of challenging and changing them: he fights for the inclusion of LGBTQ+ individuals, Jews by choice and marginalized women into the religious and social spaces in which he grew up.
Jaime is currently persuing a Masters in Psychoanalysis and Culture Theory, motivated by the research of his family's background and the identity of Mizrahi and Sepharadic groups and their migration processes. He is passionate about Anthropology and Yoga and he loves literature and learning languages, which he enjoys even more when traveling.
