Jason is an entrepreneur and intrapreneur passionate about building a stronger Jewish future. Born in Orange County, CA, Jason is a first-generation Iranian American Jew and a graduate of UCLA who is never content with the status quo. Jason engages with his community in both a professional and lay capacity. Today, Jason serves as the Los Angeles Fellows Manager for AIPAC. The AIPAC Fellows Program leverages a mission-driven “sales team” to help AIPAC achieve its annual fundraising goals. In his professional role, Jason and his team of 13 fellows have raised over $1 million to date - introducing 350+ new investors to the organization. In 2012, Jason joined the board of directors of 30 YEARS AFTER whose mission is to promote the participation and leadership of Iranian American Jews in American political, civic, and Jewish life. In 2013, in further commitment to his community, Jason founded the Maher Fellowship in an effort to combat the apathy, disconnection, and diffusion of responsibility within the Iranian American Jewish community. Incubated through PresenTenseLA's inaugural cohort, and now in its fourth year, the Maher Fellowship is a comprehensive six-month leadership program that introduces Iranian American Jewish young professionals to the needs of not only their own community but the greater community they live in. Fellows graduate with the tools and connections they need to make a difference. Our ultimate goal is to educate, catalyze, and support individuals who can positively impact the future of all Jewish people.
