Jenny Muñiz
Jenny Muñiz is a Brown Urban Education Policy Fellow for Education Grantmaking, supporting the Instructional Materials portfolio.
Jenny also serves as Policy Analyst with the Education Policy program at New America, where she researches and reports on policies and practices related to English learners, culturally responsive education, instructional materials and diversifying the teacher pipeline. Jenny has provided research support and assistance to a range of education organizations and agencies, including the Oakland Promise, the Oakland Unified School District Board of Education and the Rhode Island Department of Education. She began her career teaching second-grade students in San Antonio, where she was the lead bilingual teacher on her campus.
Jenny is a graduate student at Brown University and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Pomona College.
