Jenny Solomon
As a spiritual director, dynamic adult educator and leader of creative Jewish prayer and ritual, Rabbi Dr. Jenny Solomon compassionately inspires her congregants and students as they navigate their Jewish journeys. Uniquely attuned to people’s emotional and psychological needs, Rabbi Solomon blends her expertise in counseling, ritual experience and Jewish text and tradition.With roots in Dallas, Texas, Rabbi Solomon received her undergraduate degree from Brown University, was ordained from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and completed a doctorate in counseling from the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. Solomon spent extensive time studying in Israel, including two years at Pardes, and was awarded a Wexner Fellowship. She currently serves as a rabbi at Beth Meyer Synagogue in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Rabbi Solomon is the founding director of Libi Eir Awakened Heart Community Mikveh, where all Jews are welcomed to mark the sacred transitions in their lives with a modern sensibility and ancient Jewish wisdom. Rabbi Solomon recorded two musical projects: Tefilot Ha’Lev (Prayers of the Heart), and Shira!, a compilation of music for young children and has published numerous articles on mikveh, parenting, and Jewish contemplative practice. As an alumna of several training programs at the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, she teaches mussar, yoga and Jewish mindfulness meditation.
The proud mother of Meirav, Adi and Natan, Rabbi Solomon also loves to run, practice yoga and cook.
