A native of the state, Josh currently lives in Aurora, Colorado, with his wife Pamela and their two children, Brayden and Dylan. He has an M.A. in nonprofit management from Regis University and has worked in the Jewish community for eight years. Josh is the initiative manager for MazelTot.org, recognized as one of the most innovative Jewish organizations by the Slingshot Guide ('11-12, '13-'14, '14-'15). Its mission is to connect young families to the local Jewish communities in Denver and Boulder, Colorado. For the past year, Josh has been evaluating the program and working to position it to meet the needs of the next generation of parents - millennials. Since Josh joined MazelTot.org, 494 families have connected with the organization. Of these families, half have lived in Colorado for less than four years. Under his leadership, MazelTot.org is adding new features to its program to allow peer-to-peer interaction. These changes include: providing micro-grant opportunities for parents to create micro-communities and young family programs; providing financial incentives in the form of flash sales (Groupon) to encourage participation with MazelTot.org's 40 partner organizations; providing incentive grants to MazelTot.org's partner organizations to be innovative with little financial risk; providing a place for parents to add their voice through content creation (blog posts); and establishing Judaism as a lifestyle brand (ie. Toms Shoes). Josh is the sole employee of MazelTot.org and oversees the day-to-day communication between new members, current members, and MazelTot.org's 40 partner organizations.
