Kristi Ransick is Director, Education at the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation. She leads the National Education team’s network and convening activities and is a member of the grant-making team.
Prior to joining Schusterman, she was a Principal at NewSchools Venture Fund, where she led the school turnaround and teacher preparation portfolios. She has extensive experience in K-12 education technology, product development, instructional design and project management. Prior to NewSchools, Kristi oversaw the development of a variety of multimedia, interactive, online modules and print materials for K-12 students and teachers at Education Development Center, Teachscape and the American Museum of Natural History. In addition, she led the design and implementation of professional development programs for K-12 teachers at Teacher’s College and Columbia University. Kristi started her career teaching and leading programs at The Children’s Museum, Boston.
She has a Bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and a Master’s Degree (EdM) from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two children.
