Laura Cazés is the Advisor on Organizational Development for the Central Welfare Board of Jews in Germany (ZWST). She studied European Studies and Psychology and gained insight into youth work and education through her engagement in the activities of the ZWST and the Jewish community from an early age.
In 2015, she began her professional career as Coordinator of the newly founded German-Israeli Volunteer Service.
For the past few years, Laura was furthermore engaged in Jewish student activism. Between 2017 and 2019 she was serving as elected vice-president of the European Union of Jewish Students. Her special fields of interest are womens rights and gender equality as well as interfaith and intercultural alliances. She developed the concept of the first Jewish Women Empowerment Summit in Germany on behalf of the Educational Department of the Central Council of Jews in Germany and the Jewish Student Union in Germany, that took place in February 2019. She loves that her jobs enable her to explore Europe and Israel, and her free time she devotes to her other passions of dancing, writing, and cooking.
