A South Florida native, Laurence has worked professionally in the Jewish community for more than a decade while also taking on numerous lay leadership roles within the Jewish and secular communities. After joining Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity while an undergraduate at the University of Florida, Laurence felt a much deeper connection to both his Jewish identity and a calling to serve the community. Following graduate school at UT-Austin, he worked on a college campus in San Diego before going to work for ZBT full-time in 2005 and rising to the role of Executive Director in 2009, a role he has held since. His volunteer involvement ranges from serving as National President of the United State Junior Chamber of Commerce, co-founding the JPRO Indiana chapter, a former board member for the Jewish Student Connection, and other cause-based organizations. Laurence lives with his wife, Carli, and their daughter, Sienna, in Chicago.
