Leah Solomon is Chief Education Officer in the Jerusalem office of Encounter, a nonpartisan educational organization cultivating more informed and constructive Jewish leadership on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Leah has worked for over 20 years in the field of experiential pluralistic Jewish education, including serving for a decade as Associate Director of the Nesiya Institute. Leah previously worked for Genesis at Brandeis University and Gann Academy in Boston. She holds a B.A. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University, and completed advanced studies at the Conservative Yeshiva, the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies and the Hartman Institute. She is the editor and publisher of the Anim Zemirot bencher and has written about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in The Times of Israel Blogs, Jewschool and Sh'ma Now: A Journal of Jewish Sensibilities. Leah lives in Jerusalem with her husband and three young sons.
