Lucy Shvamental
Lucy Shvamental was born and raised in Moscow. Though born in 1980, her connection to Jewish life didn’t begin until 1992. After that she became part of the Jewish community through various ways ¬– as a student, as a camper, in seminars and workshops, by organizing and facilitating her own projects and through translating for various Jewish and non-Jewish projects. After Lucy received the Charlie Award in 2008, she launched her own Jewish Book Laboratory. At the present moment she is a self-employed yoga instructor and an interpreter. Lucy is passionate about yoga, cooking, films, music, and her baby daughter, Gil.
