Matan Yaffe, lives with his wife (Aviv)' and their 4 children (Nevo, Negev, Arbel and Tavor) in Klahim.
He grew up in Jerusalem but always knew that he will live in the Negev once he'll have a family, as this is the place he finds his energies.
Matan was at the "Tzofim" all of his childhood and join the army when he was 18. He became an officer and served for 5 years in a combat unit, and excelled officers course. Afterward, he traveled the world for 2.5 years (Mongolia, Kamchatka, Siberia, etc...) and came back with the desire of making a difference.
He established an NGO named Desert Stars, that developed very fast to become a large educational organization to develop leadership amongst Bedouin youth in the Negev.
Today he continues to lead Desert Stars and is working on the creation of a Leadership campus that will facilitate all of Desert Stars programs.
