As an elected official, Corporate Social Responsibility professional and experienced coalition builder, Meggan works at the intersection of the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Directed by the belief that change starts locally and inspired by her experience as ministerial aide to the Hon. Chris Carter, minister of ethnic affairs and local government in New Zealand, Meggan is committed to building bridges between people and sectors in her adopted hometown of Brookline.
With a passion for cross-culture and cross-sector collaboration and professional experience as a founder, executive director, and small business owner, Meggan brings an innovator's mindset to any role she takes on. Meggan is actively involved in efforts to encourage more Jewish millennial women to run for office. She is a co-founder and managing partner of Gin & Jews, LLC an events company based in Boston, Tampa, and expanding to several new markets in 2017. Most recently, Meggan served as chief marketing and development officer of The David Project and is founder and executive director of GVNGTogether, a nonprofit sparking next generation philanthropy. Meggan was senior manager of business development for City Year and led corporate social responsibility for the largest health insurer in Massachusetts. She was an active raiser for Hillary 2016 and sits on Congressman Joseph Kennedy III's finance committee.
