Michael Ben Aharon
Michael is the founder of Golda Strategies, which specializes in distilling complex policy papers, reports and documents into easy-to-understand infographics that double as murals in rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa. He believes that by engaging low literacy communities in the policy conversation, they can become partners rather than subjects of development policies. In the past, he has worked for Rocket Internet, PresenTense and the Knesset. A native of Be’er Sheva, Israel, Michael currently lives in Accra, and has previously lived and worked in Jerusalem, Moscow, Lagos, Casablanca, Monrovia, and Washington. He holds an MS. in foreign service from Georgetown University, and a B.A. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Michael enjoys travelling to unusual places and was the first Israeli tourist in North Korea.
