Michael Misrachi grew up in Sydney where he enjoyed a traditional Jewish upbringing. A graduate of Masada College, he was actively involved in Hineni, a Zionist youth movement, with whom he want to Israel after high school and served as a madrich for three years. He was also Federal Head of the Israel program and Director of the Sydney branch. While studying for his undergraduate degree at university, Michael was active in the Jewish community and later led an extended Taglit Birthright program in Israel. Michael began his working life in human resource management and worked in the corporate world for several years. After deciding that the Jewish community was where his passion and career ambition lay, he joined Shalom as Melton Director and Limmud-Oz Coordinator. He went on to become Director of Programs. After nine years at Shalom and upon completing his M.B.A at the University of Technology, Sydney, Michael made aliyah to Rehovot with his wife and three children. He is currently the Marketing Communications Manager at the Tel Aviv Foundation.
